Heeled Sandals

Hello Hello!! As of lately I have been looking for heeled sandals, I did buy a pair about a month ago but I kind of never stopped looking and never took them out of my wishlist… So I was setting myself up to failure from the beginning but I cannot say that I am actually upset.

Surprise surprise I did order one more pair of heeled sandals and they are amazing.  In the past week since I got them I have been trying to figure out how to wear these every day.  To work on business casual day, to work on casual Friday, bumming around and going out.

The ones on the left and in the middle are my new ones, which are amazingly comfortable given that they are high heeled and very strapy.  The outfit on the left I wore for a business casual day at work.  These are not the typical work shoes and I had hesitations about wearing them.  But it was going to be a stressful day and I needed a pick me up.  the ones in the middle I wore on casual Friday, it was a little bit busier of a day and these shoes made it all day and I was ready to wear them out at night.  The outfit on the right, I wore out bumming with a friend and seeing a movie.

New shoes new shores, I am in love with these shoes.  I debated about buying them for a very long time, I saw a woman wearing them out at the bar and had a long talk with her about them.  We agreed they were great shoes and looked amazing.  I wanted to know how comfy they were, she said they were ok.  We disagree on this point because now that I own them I know they are so comfortable.  And maybe everyone should take that with a grain of salt because I am very good in heels and can typically wear a good pair all night.

I would recommend these shoes to anyone, they do cost a little bit more then I typically spend on shoes but these went on sale and Amazon sent me a 20% off code.  So it was like they were begging me to buy them.

Summer Sandals

Hello Hello! Sorry for the delay in getting a post up, I am getting ready to go on vacation and then move almost immediately when I get back so I’ve been stressing and procrastinating.

So I tend to make friends with people when I go out to the bar, usually with other women because we will talk about each others outfit and where we shop.  For the past few weeks I have been looking for a pair of heeled sandals that I can wear out in the summer.  I started off looking for wedges but those have never really been my favorite type of shoe.  But I did want them to be comfortable that I could wear them all night.  Here we come to the me making friends part, there was this girl at the bar wearing the most amazing shoes.  I randomly started talking to her and she told me she bought them at a boutique in town, ahh score.

So obviously I went over to the boutique the next day to see what they had for shoes.

I am in love with this nudish pink color that they are, I could not be happier.  The sandals I was looking at online were all designer shoes and were much more expensive.  These actually look like some designer sandals I thought about buying which makes me even happier.  The heel is only about 2 inches so these are shoes that can be worn all night if you want.

I have just been trying them on with every outfit I wear, I cannot wait to actually wear them out.

Finding these was great, I am so happy to know about these new Boutique.  It is called Mesh and you can order online.  Although I may go to the store more because they have adorable clothes.

My Bootie Problem

Hello hello!!  I fully acknowledge my boots and bootie problem, I love them and I do not seem to be able to stop myself from buying them.  I tend to find a pair that I like, think about it for a bit and then buy them anyways. haha

This has happened on the last 2 pairs of boots that I purchased, and somehow I stumbled upon another pair that I really liked.  They are also by the same designer that I got my  pair of over the knee boots that I love.  I was doing really good convincing myself I didn’t need them, then they went on sale… These booties

Here they are, I have no regrets.  I just got them today and have been wearing them around my house.  I cannot wait to wear them in real life. haha.  I will tell you more when I wear them out.

Booties with some flare

Hello Hello!! I got some New booties!  And I am pretty excited about them.  I have been looking for black boots for awhile, I have a lot of brown ones but no black boots.  Then I stumbled across these boots with this amazing gold/ chrome heel.

These come in 3 colors, black, brown and burgundy, I did have a long debate when ordering these about getting the burgundy.  I do love burgundy right now.  But in the end I went with black I figured they would be more versatile in my wardrobe, which they are.  Also these boots are actually more comfortable then I thought they would be.  The heel is 4 inches high so they are not for the faint of heart but if you can wear that high of heels go for it.  These are great, they didn’t hurt my feet at all.  (I am really good in heels but the fact that the heel on these are chunky makes them easy to wear for awhile).

I was waiting to share these until I have worn them a few times and have an opinion about them.  I have been wearing them going out, casually, on date and I wore them to work (not recommended given the heel height).  I love wearing them with skinny jeans rolled up, makes me feel great and in charge of my life.

Yes I have an obsession with black skinny jeans but they are just so comfy and look so good.  Especially when worn with these boots, which at $42 are actually reasonably priced.

Over the knee boots

Hello hello!  I wanted to revisit this topic, please see the blog/ rant I did a few months ago when I was looking for over the knee boots.  The gist of that is that I was annoyed that finding a pair of boots to fit my calves was so hard, I work out and think I have average calves nothing huge but apparently too big for the fashion industry.

I have found a pair I think are worthy to talk about on the blog, and I love them so much.  Now to be very honest, I really wanted a good pair and was willing to pay to get a great pair.  The pair I bought was Vince Camuto Melaya Over the knee boots, they were a Nordstrom exclusive and appear to have sold out, but I would recommend the designer because these boots are amazing.  I was waiting to share because I well they were back ordered when I bought them and then I was away when they got to my apartment and then I wanted to wait to wear them to get a feel for them.  They are undoubtedly amazing and look great with any outfit, I wish I could wear them more.

So I have been wearing them on dates, as that is where these two outfits came from.  And seriously I honestly just love to wear them, I wore them at my apartment for hours one Sunday trying on my dresses to see which looked best.  And if they ever do come back into stock I will have a serious thought about buying them again because they are that great of a boot.

Yes this is from the Sunday that I spent trying on clothing but needless to say the dress I am really excited to wear these boots out with are shift dresses.  I feel like it just adds another element and makes my legs look super good and they make a statement.

Anyway let me know your thoughts

In my Red High Heels

Hello Hello!! Ok so the heels are actually more burgundy, but that’s a form of red, right?  I have always wanted a pair of red heels, all my adult life I have kind of kept an eye out for a pair I thought would be great.  When any women wears a pair of red heels they make a statement and that women walks around with this extra confidence.  For me when I wear these red heels I know I am making a statement and walk with an additional confidence.

I am sure you have seen these in previous blog posts, I have delayed talking about them since I wanted to make sure they were good heels before I told you guys about them.  These heels are actually much better then expected because they keep getting more comfortable.  So when I first tried them on I figured out where they were potentially going to be an issue and stretched them out in my apartment. Then I moved to wearing them while out at the bars.  The first time I wore them out with friends when I got home my feet were done, but no blisters.  The next time I wore them out my feet didn’t even hurt while I was out, and I even gave away my pair of fast flats to a friend who need them more than I.

Prior to ordering these shoes I was looking at my heels that are on a shelf in my closet and realized I have a lot of black and nude but no real colors.  Which kind of comes up as an issue since I have been tending to wear a lot of black outfits out.  When I saw these shoes I was like these will be perfect and they will work exceptionally well when I wear black/ white outfits.  As well as I really love this color right now, its not super in your face red but the heels still make that statement of red heels. I am actually super happy about these heels and excited to work them into my wardrobe more (you know once winter is over).

Here are a few of the outfits I have worn these with.

The right was the first time I wore the shoes, and I wore them to work and brought a back up pair of flats, flats were needed.  Then the middle outfit I wore them out and was able to wear them all night just started to hurt towards the end.  Left was last week, I wore them to my holiday party and had no issues at all.

These heels where kind of a spur of the moment buy, I almost bought them on Nordstrom’s and then checked Amazon and not only were they $20 cheaper but they were on prime so I got them delivered in 2 days (much faster then the alternative).  I linked the Amazon one, I do realize these are expensive heels but for a good pair of heels that do not cause your feet to cry, I think they are worth the investment.

A Night on the Town

Something old, something new, nothing borrowed and absolutely nothing blue.  (haha I just really wanted to say that).  Anyways lately I have been choosing what to wear based on the jacket I want to wear out, and then I have to remember if I wore it out last weekend.

So as stated I started by picking out the jacket, I love this jacket and I have been wanting to wear it out.  It is also pretty new  (Now I wouldn’t suggest doing picking an outfit like this makes things a little bit harder).  As this is a burgandy coat I went into my closet with the goal of finding something grey/black, harder then anticipated as I wore my favorite black shirt last week.  As I was thinking about what to wear I could not think of a great shirt to wear, I already decided on dark jeans.

I went into my closet looking for a shirt I could wear that wasn’t the one I wore last week.  I found this grey shirt kind of at the back of my closet, it is a shirt that I bought in college and every time I go through my closet I think about giving it away.  I am not sure what kept my from putting it in the give away pile.  This shirt is very fitted and scoops low in the back to expose most of my upper back, this is probably the reason I kept it I love shirts that have open backs. As it is so tight I decided to wear it tucked into the jeans so that my figure is accentuated.

As the outfit as a whole was really tight it felt perfect to wear this jacket that is a little bit oversized so I was covered up when I wanted to be.  I paired the entire thing with these new high-heels in red, I am still breaking them in so I can’t say for sure if they are the best but I have high hopes.

I just loved this outfit so here are some more pics, let me know your thoughts.
