Harper Wilde

Hello hello!!! So if you have been reading lately you know that I have been trying to find a substitute to Victoria’s secret. I personally think they have gone down hill. I have been trying a few to figure out what is good and what is not.

So I have found Harper Wilde. They only have 3 bras, so they got your basics. They have a classic demi, a push-up, and a strapless. They come in very normal colors of tan, darker tan, black and navy. Haha. I have no issues with the colors because I prefer my bras to be in black or tan, for some people though this might be an issue.

I bought the demi bra and I love it!! It is a really great every day bra which is what I was looking for. I can forget I have it on which is amazing. I will say that for whatever reason it pokes me once but after that I don’t feel it any more.

I will happily buy from this again because it’s a great bra and also only $35.

Let me know your thoughts.

Basics: Belts

Hello Hello!!  I want to talk about something that I personally do not really like but are necessary to every wardrobe, Belts.  And I am not talking fancy belts that can make your outfit look better.  I am talking about belts that actually keep your pants up.

So I have been vehemently opposed to belts.  I don’t really know why exactly maybe it is a combo of this.  First, I don’t really like the bulge they put right around your waist.  Like no I don’t need any more attention pointed in this direction.  Second, every time you go to the bathroom it is like this extra process.  And then, I cannot find a belt that functions as a belt but is also cute, you either get one or the other.

Lately I had a pant size that worked really well I did not need a belt to keep them on, they were prefect.  So what caused me to look into this again?  Well on black Friday I was buy pants, and yea the line for the fitting room was longer then the one to check out so I was only trying on a few and doing it as fast as possible.  So I tried on 2, I knew my size so no big deal.  But I picked the wrong length and just switch the pants and didn’t try them on again.  Turns out these new pants were a little loser then the other ones.

So yes these are the pants that I have been looking for an answer for but did not want to buy a belt.  Well I saw on amazon this buckleless belt.  And I had to figure out what this was.  So the first few times I was trying it out, it felt really weird, and I spent significant amount of time trying to get the size of the belt right.

So this belt is basically an elastic band that has snaps on both sides and a metal clasp to adjust the length of the belt.  So when you put this one the snaps go around the belt loops that are on either side of the button and you thread it through all the other belt looks.  So this is nice because you do not have any buckle in front, these snaps do not push out from the line of the body, and you do not have to undo and redo the belt every time you go to the bathroom.

Once I got the length perfect, this made the belt perfect.  So I wore this out last night and I had no issues.  It was a million times more convenient then an actual belt with a buckle. It made the pants really feel like they fit perfectly.  Given the price I would highly recommend at least giving this a try.

Especially since I was tucking my shirt, it was made all the more convenient.  Then with the snaps, I mean they do stick out but they do not look bad.  In the future I might do something to make the snaps not stick out too much.

Review- Rachel Zoe spring box of style

Whats up, whats up?!  I love to get gifts in the mail, even if I am the one that orders them for myself.  So I do have a few subscription services that I do subscribe to, I am up in the air about keeping them.  I do like that they offer a lot of clothing and accessories that I cannot find anywhere else or that I wouldn’t normally pick out for myself, which I do really like.

The newest subscription I did was the Rachel Zoe box of style, this comes once a season, offers 5 products Rachel Zoe has picked out and is $99.  I have debated this one for awhile but I saw a preview of what was in the Spring box and was like I need that.  So what was in the box that I wanted?

This bag.

I saw this bag pictured/ advertised for the spring box and I had a 2 day debate about signing up and in the end I signed up.  The box was about embowering women entrepreneurs around the globe so every product was crafted by women (so I was more inclined to buy when I realized this).  I also just really love how this bag looks, it has a great spring pattern and leather accents.  It also offers a cross body strap which to me is necessary because I walk so much.  The black and white pattern means it goes with anything, and I currently am using it as my every day purse.  The few issues I have with the bag are the cross body strap isn’t that long so it is more of a messenger bag and the inside is not every organizational friendly.

So what are the other products?

First, is the scarf that is tied around the purse handles in the pics above.  I typically do not wear scarfs, well not typically I never do.  So getting a scarf was not really what I wanted, but I love the red color and the pattern.  And as Rachel Zoe suggested it looks really good tied around the purse.

The other products in the box are this water bottle, nail polish and earrings.  The earrings are amazing, I love the gold color (you got to choose if you wanted gold or silver), and they are versatile.  They can be worn with or without the hoops, I have been wearing them without them.  It works well when wearing them to work or going out.

The water bottle and nail polish are both in this pale pink color that I am really feeling lately.  I am not sure I am willing to buy a lot of clothes in this color so it is nice to have accent pieces like the water bottle and nail polish.

All in all I really liked this box of style and am happy that I subscribed, still unsure if I will continue to get the box.  But I will keep you posted.

Love Wearing Cuffs (bracelets)

Hello Hello!!  Who would have thought I would love to wear bracelets?  Not me, I have never been a big bracelet person.  And a few years ago I like cuffs/ bangles even less, but here I am buying them.  It probably all started when I started wearing a bracelet every day to keep my hairbands off my wrist and now I don’t mind wearing bracelets.

These cuffs are from The Styled Collection (mostly) and they are the reason I was looking into buying more bracelets.  I like that they are edgy and minimalist at the same time.  The first cuff I bought is the one on the far left, I have talked about this one before it is the one that keeps my hairbands from strangling my wrists.  The rest kind of followed after buying the first one.  My personal favorite is the one with the pearls, it is rose gold and the pearls are held on by what looks like bike gears.  It has this really cool look to it that I could not pass up.   The one on the far left is this cool cuff that is squared off at the top, I have never seen a bracelet like this.

I have been experimenting with stacking them, which is a little difficult since currently all I have been doing is going to work.  My one critique with the stacking is the jingling they make when they hit each other.  I have added the leather band bracelet between the two to minimize it.
