Hello Hello!! Now I know I talked about this skirt last year because I love it so much that I bought 2 last year. Why is this skirt so amazing? First, it is a good length that it can be worn to work but also can be worn casually. You just need to wear this with tights if you wear it to work. Second, it is just super comfortable so if you work an office job like me, the waist band does not bother you all day. It is just really comfortable to sit in. Last and probably most important IT HAS MOTHER FUCKING POCKETS!!! Yes that’s right pockets! In a businessy skirt!! (To everyone asking if that is important yes it is. I go to meetings on numerous floors a day and when carrying my badge without pockets I am always worried I will lose it)
But I was talking to a friend about this skirt over the weekend and then it caused me to go look it up and see if it was available on J. Crew’s site. And wouldn’t you know, not only is it available but it is on sale!!! Here it is ladies I would recommend this skirt to any one.
Now here are just a bunch of pictures of me wearing these skirts.
Bah, good luck shopping out there!!!
Hello Hello!! So last fall there was this really cute vest that was everywhere. It was tweed and had pockets and looked really great all around. I found it on a boutique site but it was kind of expensive and I had already bought a vest so I decided not to buy it. This year I saw the vest again, but it was on Amazon and it was a fraction of the price, this vest.
I really like this vest because it has pockets which are really key when you are trying to walk the dog and not take a purse. That is the main reason that I bought this vest to be able to wear on walks. Working it into the rest of my wardrobe is just icing on the cake.
I usually do not like the puffer vest look because I just don’t think that it does anything beneficial for the female figure. Which for the most part I still think is true. This vest is an exception, it is not very puffy but it is still warm as well as the tweed pattern. These combine to make a really great buy. I highly recommend this vest.

Hello Hello!! So one of my friends is getting married and I am having this huge debate in my head about what I should wear. When I first got the invite in my head I have already decided what to wear.
So I love this dress, I think it is a very flattering look and fits me very well. I love that it is lose on top and the skirt is tight. This for me creates the illusion that I have a smaller waist then what I actually do. The slit in front makes if fun and flirty and perfect for a wedding. I personally love this dress.
But I was texting my sister asking her opinion and it made me question my decision. She said that it looked beige and didn’t really look good. So then I went back to the drawing board and came up with a few other options.
So I just got this skirt and its a little fancy so I have been dying to find a place to wear it to. Both of these options have the same skirt but different shirts. One is a tight grey shirt and the other is a lose shear navy shirt.
This gold pleated midi skirt is amazing and looks super fancy, I love that. I actually had to hem it so it is a midi on me, I am short. But now that I hemmed it and it actually hits mid calf, I am ready to wear this out. So I like the dark shirt look with this skirt, I think it really allows the skirt to shin and be the center of attention. I think this would also be very wedding appropriate, as it is fancy enough but not over the top. I also think it will be great for dancing, will allow me to move around a little more freely then the other one.
If you have an opinion please let me know, I am open to other people’s opinions.
Also if I wear the skirt I will cover up the elastic band with a belt.
Hello Hello!! I love Sundays, they are my day to basically do whatever I want on my own time schedule. Which if left to my own devices I will usually stay home and chill with my dog, we just clean, watch some TV, cook for the week and then we mix in some walks. When I do have plans on Sunday I try to have my outfit be chill, casual, and comfy. Which usually means some sort of workout gear because I always fit a workout in on Sunday.
How to make your workout gear work when going outside the gym and not look out of place?
So I didn’t make too many changes to what I wore to workout and what I wore to meet up with my friend. So these tights I cannot tell you how amazing they are, they have these great mesh inserts on the front and the back (sorry they are super hard to get a good picture of). They are from Reebok, where I buy almost all my workout pants, they are not available any more otherwise I would link them.
So I changed out my workout tank, because it was gross, with this T-shirt. It is just this really basic cotton T from Target, I did bleach the outline of Wisconsin, my home state, on there which I think looks really cool. I am ok wearing it with tights because it is long enough to go to the tops of my thighs.
Then I just added a cool jacket. This one is a really awesome cargo jacket since I was going to a really chill style. But you could do almost any jacket to change up the look you are going to. Heading to a bar? Add a leather moto jacket. Going to brunch? Add a long and lose duster like jacket. Heading out to run some errands or just be around town? Add a trench coat.

Hello Hello!!! So as some of you may know or have noticed I am a short person. I am 5’2 and a half. Being this short I have perfected climbing on the counters in order reach things, jumping in grocery stores in order to get what I want. But clothing for the most part is not too much of an issue. Tops are super easy because I just have short legs. Pants I don’t have too much of an issue because you can buy those with a specific inseam.
Skirts I have to be a little bit more careful about because they tend to be styled for a taller person in mind. I have been looking for a pleated skirt in a metallic color, not sure why. I found this skirt, it is designed to be a midi so I was kind of concerned because midis tend to be maxis on me.
So it basically looks like a short maxi, so my worry was valid. But this skirt was pretty cheap so I just intended on hemming it myself. The hem on this skirt is pretty unfinished so I figured I could straight cut it and have no issues, and if it frayed it would only get shorter which I did not have issues with. (if it continued to fray it might end up as a mini and I think I like the look of that) Anyways I decided to cut 3 inches off (I am not typically a sewer so if I can fix this skirt you can too).
I personally think it looks so much better as an actual midi length. So do not be afraid to hem anything or go to the tailor to get something professionally hemmed, it is worth it. Now I love this skirt, and I cannot wait to wear it out. The left was just for comparison sake to show you the same outfit again. The right was right after I finished hemming it so ignore the straps of my sports bra under the shirt.

Hello hello!! Gah, picking out an outfit when it’s way too hot out is super difficult, made even worse when you are trying to pick out an outfit for a date. I want to look good and be cool but also not sweat through all my clothes.
At first I was all about wearing shorts because man it’s was like 90° out and I wanted to be cool.
So I love these blue shorts I think they just scream summer, and I’ve worn them out paired with this shirt before when I go out and love it. But this violates one of my hard and fast rules of not wearing shorts on a date. (Just want to hide the back of my thighs forever). So I was having a large discussion in my head to wear this or put on pants. And…. Pants won because this is what I changed into.
Yes, I gave into the desire to hide my legs. I decided that it was afternoon so it would start getting colder so I could stick it out until it gets cooler and then I’ll be fine. I love this outfit too, the black shirt half tucked into a light pair of jeans is a favorite outfit of mine.
Let me know your thoughts, should I have changed or not.
Hello hello!! So this past weekend it was kind of cold and raining a bit, obviously the best thing to wear is boots. So I was wearing skinny jeans and wanted to pair them with a cute pair of booties.
So the options are brown or black.
So yes, this outfit is very similar and does not change too much with the change of the shoes. The brown boots stick out a bit more and catch a little more attention. The rest of the outfit is muted and so allows the brown boots to be louder. The black boots in this outfit are a little more go with the flow. But then the heel of the boots pops out due to the metallic heal.
So which did I chose? I went with the brown boots to make a little bit more of a statement. I kind of went to a dive bar and the black boots felt a little too fancy.
