Hello Hello!! Now I wanted to share and outfit that I have been envisioning in my head for awhile (or like since I bought the shirt). As I previously stated the last time I did a blog post about mixing pattern, I don’t typically do it because its hard and I don’t own a lot of patterned clothing so it is hard to mix what you don’t have.
Anyways I am super excited about this outfit.
So these are two of my most comfortable clothes so I decided to combine them together and be super comfortable at work. (I mean leaving out the heels of course).
So why does this work for mixing patterns? When I mix patterns I like to stick with one piece that is black and white. I consider a black and white pattern to be one of the most neutral you can get because both colors go well with anything. I added my patterned skirt and this takes the outfit to a bold level. I love it, I feel like yes there is a lot going on but it is still very flattering. The horizontal strips typically are not very flattering but given the shirt is tucked into a pencil skirt and my waist is defined, it works out very well.
Let me know your thoughts.
Later!
